Rowing machine workout log from a photo

Rowing machine consoles pack in a lot of data — split time, stroke rate, watts, distance, calories. Snap the summary screen after your session and CardioSnapr reads and saves it all for you.

Beta: AI extraction can misread some console photos, so always check your stats before saving.

How it works

  1. Snap or upload a photo. Take a photo of the rowing console summary screen right after your session. Or upload from your camera roll.
  2. Check the extracted stats. CardioSnapr reads the numbers from your photo and shows you every field before saving. Edit anything that looks wrong.
  3. Save, copy, or export. Save to your workout history, copy a text summary, export to CSV, or email it to yourself.

What rowing machine stats can it capture?

CardioSnapr reads whatever is shown on the rowing console. Common stats include:

  • Duration
  • Distance (metres)
  • Calories
  • Split time / pace (/500m)
  • Stroke rate (strokes per minute)
  • Average watts
  • Total strokes
  • Heart rate (where shown)

Works best when

  1. Take the photo from the post-workout summary screen, not the live display.
  2. Capture before the display times out or dims.
  3. Shoot straight-on for the clearest read.
  4. Make sure distance and split time are fully visible in the frame.

Frequently asked questions

Does CardioSnapr work with Concept2 rowing machines?
Yes. The Concept2 PM5 and PM4 monitors display split time, stroke rate, watts, distance, and calories. CardioSnapr can read all of these from a photo of the summary screen. Note that Concept2 has its own LogBook app — CardioSnapr is a useful alternative if you prefer a simpler log or want CSV export.
Does it work with WaterRower machines?
Yes, if your WaterRower has an S4 or later performance monitor showing stats.
What rowing stats does CardioSnapr extract?
Distance, time, calories, split pace (/500m), stroke rate, average watts, and total strokes where displayed.
Should I photograph the live screen or the summary screen?
The post-workout summary screen gives the clearest and most complete data. Take the photo before the display times out.
Do I need an account?
No. Guest Beta gives you 3 free scans with no account. Free Beta (free account) gives 20 scans per month.
